Together with the “Young European Ambassadors” and “UnityEcho,” under the leadership of Alla Yukhymchuk, we have already kicked off our activities.
Last Friday, 19/04/2024, we held the online game “NotaYenota,” where students sharpened their skills in spotting fake news about Ukraine and Europe. Well done, we showed great class! Three winners have already received their prizes.
And this is only the beginning! We’re planning even more events and games about the European Union and opportunities for young people next month. It’s going to be exciting!
On April 19, an exciting event took place at our gymnasium! The “Young European Ambassadors in Ukraine” initiative, together with Nova Prylука Gymnasium and the organization “UnityEcho,” organized an online meeting for 7th-8th grade students. Under the guidance of Alla Yukhymchuk, students deepened their media literacy skills through the “NotaYenota” game.
The event format included a brief informational session and the practical “NotaYenota” game in a Kahoot quiz format. Teams worked through practical tasks, answered questions, and analyzed examples of disinformation about Ukraine and the world. This encouraged active participation and helped strengthen participants’ critical thinking skills.
After the event, three winners — Sofiia Tsykalo (1st place), Anhelina Kyryniuk (2nd place), and Ailin Androsovych (3rd place) — will receive themed prizes from the initiative. It’s not only fun, but educational too!
The goal of the event is to raise young people’s awareness of media literacy and combat fake news, which is especially relevant amid today’s information warfare.
